He has done important work in the Vega Baja del Segura region, where he has promoted the development of new agricultural land with the establishment of sites for new agricultural areas by draining swamps for agricultural use. The old village of La Marina was a swamp area of the Vega Baja. This location was moved to the coast and in the old location they started building houses and now also called the Urbanization of La Marina overlooking the coastline. Behind the beaches of the village there is a beautiful dune area with sub-tropical vegetation like many Agave plants.
The economy of La Marina used to be very focused on agriculture and fishing, but nowadays it focuses more on sustainable tourism thanks to a very restrictive policy for urban development.
