Torrevieja on the Costa Blanca.

Torrevieja or Torrevella in Valencian is a seaside resort located on the Mediterranean Sea. This city is located 41 km south of Alicante in Spain. The municipality is 71 km2 in size and has approximately 20 km of coastline. In 2017, Torrevieja had more than 110,000 inhabitants. Tourism is the main source of income. In summer the total population can rise to more than 200,000 inhabitants. However, in the past, salt extraction from the salt lakes the Salinas of Torrevieja and La Mata was the main source of income. Salt extraction is still of considerable size.

In Torrevieja you can not only enjoy the beautiful beaches and boulevard, but there are also two salt lakes. These areas are free to visit and you can relax there. Torrevieja, located by the sea with its many beaches, is a typical Spanish seaside resort, has a 3 km long promenade by the sea, full of terraces, shops and restaurants, conviviality and atmosphere. The port is located near the bustling center. Boats depart from here to the island of Tabarca. Various water sports are also possible. One of the largest weekly markets on the Costa Blanca is in Torrevieja every Friday. For golf enthusiasts, the golf courses Las Ramblas, Villamartin, Las Colinas, Campoamor and La Finca are less than a 15-minute drive away. The Aquapolis water park is open from mid-June to mid-September and has a wide variety of slides and swimming pools. For the fishing enthusiast, there is fishing almost everywhere along the coast.
