**Punta Prima Vacation Stay**

Punta Prima is the southeastern part of the district Orihuela Costa but also largely belongs to Torrevieja. Orihuela Costa is part of the municipality of Orihuela and is located in the province of Alicante, which is in the Spanish autonomous region of Valencia. Punta Prima, at the beginning of Orihuela Costa, is located 3 kilometers south of the center of Torrevieja and is an excellent spot to spend your vacation. If you are driving, the distance from Amsterdam to Punta Prima is 2,165 kilometers. If you are flying, it is 45 kilometers from Alicante airport.

In 2017, Punta Prima had more than 3,000 inhabitants. The beach of the same name is the northernmost of six beaches in the Orihuela Costa district. It borders Playa De Los Náufragos, the southernmost beach of Torrevieja, to the north and Playa Flamenca to the south. The beach is 170 meters long and 14 meters wide, accessible via ramps and stairs. Since July 2010, Punta Prima has had an elevator that overcomes a height difference of 7 meters. Punta Prima is the only beach in the province of Alicante with an elevator to the beach. The beach also features a lifeguard tower in the summer, a cabana, a first aid post, and parking.

Punta Prima borders the neighborhood of Rocío Del Mar in Torrevieja to the north, La Campana to the west, and Alameda Del Mar to the south. To the east, Punta Prima faces the Mediterranean Sea. The southernmost suburbs of the port city of Torrevieja are just a stone’s throw north of Punta Prima. Additionally, Punta Prima is south of the N-332 highway, which runs parallel to the Spanish east coast.

**Surroundings**

During your stay in one of our luxury apartments, you can choose to relax on your balcony or by the pool, or have a more active vacation with plenty to do in the nearby area. Various restaurants are within walking distance, and if you want to prepare something yourself, you can buy fresh vegetables, fish, and meat at the many supermarkets. The kitchen in your apartment is fully equipped to prepare a delicious Spanish dish at home, including a multifunctional oven and a stove.

Of course, you can also enjoy a drink, tapas, the blue sea, the beach, and each other’s company at the beach bar of any cabana. Within 5 to 15 minutes walking from your apartment, you reach the Punta Prima restaurant with a boulevard. From here, you have a beautiful view over the bay and Cabo Roíg. On clear days, you can even see Mar Menor, 60 kilometers away. If you want to explore further, you can take your rental car to the beaches of Campoamor, La Zenia, Cabo Roig, and Playa Flamenca, all within 4 kilometers from Punta Prima. La Zenia beach is a 20-minute walk away. You can also walk to the center of Torrevieja via the beach and walking paths.

**Vacation Rentals**

Our apartments provide a great base for a successful vacation. We have over 60 fully equipped apartments starting at 65 m² with 1 or 2 bedrooms and 1 or 2 bathrooms. All are equipped with a fully fitted kitchen with built-in appliances, a bathroom with a bathtub and/or shower, at least four beds with linens, a washer/dryer, satellite TV with Dutch and international channels, a DVD player, WiFi radio, CD player, and air conditioning/heating. For families with young children, it is an ideal place to vacation, with child-friendly pools and spacious, uncrowded beaches. A crib and high chair are available for rent if needed.

All apartments feature a covered terrace, solarium, or balcony of at least 12 m² with terrace furniture. They offer views of the pools and/or the subtropical park and/or a beautiful sea view. The apartments are fully furnished with luxurious furniture and ample storage space in the bedrooms. The owners of these vacation rentals have put a lot of attention into their properties to ensure you, as a vacationer, lack nothing.

All apartments come with terracotta tiles, ceramic or marble floors, and some with underfloor heating in the bathrooms. They have PVC windows with double glazing and blinds, an alarm system, and some resorts have 24-hour security with guards and cameras. All apartments are accessible from a private parking lot via elevator or stairs. Some apartments also have a private storage room in the garage.

**Winter Stay**

For winter visitors, we reserve apartments facing south so you can enjoy the sun on the balcony or rooftop terrace even in winter. From approximately November to the end of March, a few pools are heated. The luxury of Panorama Park, La Entrada Ocean Front Resort, Oasis Beach Punta Prima phases 7, 8, and 9, Sea Senses, and Resort La Recoleta, along with the heating in the apartments and the healthy climate, make this location very attractive for winter stays. **Activities and Entertainment**

During your vacation in Punta Prima, there are various activities to enjoy. Water sports like water skiing, fishing, rent-a-rib, parasailing, snorkeling, and diving are available. You can also rent a mountain bike or go horseback riding to explore the inland areas. For hikers, there are beautiful routes along the rugged coast of Orihuela Costa, and younger vacationers can enjoy a water park in Torrevieja, a mini fair at the Centro Commercial, and a go-kart track less than a kilometer away. You can visit one of the many weekly markets in the surrounding towns within a 10-kilometer radius. One of the largest markets on the Costa Blanca is the Friday market in Torrevieja.

Combine your vacation with Spanish language courses and visits to museums in Orihuela, Murcia, and Alicante. Enjoy Spanish tapas with a local Vino de Mesa in one of the many inland restaurants.

Many places are worth visiting, such as Elche with its beautiful date palm park and old town, Alicante with its long boulevard and stately old buildings, and a day trip to Benidorm. Around Benidorm, there are also several theme parks for children, such as Mundomar with various animal shows featuring dolphins and sea lions.
