La Mata
Torre La Mata on the Costa Blanca
The kilometers-long sandy beaches of the southern Costa Blanca are known as the longest and widest in all of Spain. The southern Costa Blanca is flat along the coast, making it very suitable for cycling routes and walks in and around the La Mata Nature Park, with stunning views over the lake, vineyards, and protected nature. Of course, walking through the unique and protected dune area and along the beach from La Mata to Guardamar del Segura is also an option. Along the way, you can stop at one of the cabanas on the beach for a cozy terrace, enjoy tapas, and/or a glass of Sangria before walking back to La Mata. The beaches here still exude peace and space, and there are enough facilities for a wonderful day at the beach.
Within a 30-kilometer radius, there are also beautiful cities to admire, such as Elche with its palm parks, authentic historical city center, and shoe factories. Of course, a day trip to Alicante with its marina, extensive boulevard, old town center, and inner-city area, also known as small Barcelona, should not be missed. You can also take a boat from Santa Pola to the small island of Tabarca, where you can snorkel, shop, and enjoy tapas on one of the many terraces, or experience a boat trip to Benidorm with various stops in other seaside towns, allowing you to better explore the Spanish Costa Blanca and its most beautiful spots.
The inland area of the southern Costa Blanca is known for its many orange, almond, and lemon plantations, and just 15 kilometers from La Mata, you will find yourself among the Spaniards and the real Spanish life, which we would be happy to show you.
In addition to day and city trips, excursions, and Spanish culture, there is much more to experience. Therefore, feel free to ask for our available information on other entertainment options before you plan to come and spend your vacation with us.
