Santa Pola on the Costa Blanca

Santa Pola is a municipality in the Spanish province of Alicante in the Valencia region, located on the southern Costa Blanca. It has an area of 58 km² and, in 2017, had a population of more than 30,000. The city features seven watchtowers from the 16th century, which were used to spot enemies. The Castillo Fortaleza fort, dating back to 1558, was designed by Italian architects to provide shelter for marines guarding the coasts against pirates. Today, the city’s beautiful beaches attract many kiters and surfers from across Europe due to the favorable wind conditions. The recently renovated boulevard of Santa Pola is very long and tiled with a beautiful mosaic. The boulevard offers numerous terraces, restaurants, and bars where you can enjoy a great view of the large harbor.
